Woman Killed In Jersey Shore Apartment Fire

A woman was killed in an apartment fire at the Jersey Shore early Wednesday, Nov. 15, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

The fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. at Evergreen Terrace Apartments in Red Bank, a public housing complex off Drs. James Parker Boulevard, authorities said.

A source said the woman was about 90 years old.

News12.com said the fire victim had an oxygen tank in her possession.

Red Bank police were not immediately available. The county Fire Marshal was investigating.
